The number of physicians working with us is steadily increasing. It’s becoming easier for patients
to find a physician in the immediate area, who has the knowledge of genetic diagnostics.
This is most important because GENOSENSE’s test-systems can only be ordered by a physician
and not directly by a patient.

your physician.
Your physician will help you to extract the sample material and will fill out the required forms.
Your signature is essential for the performance of the genetic analysis. The more accurate detail
reported on the medical history forms the more appropriate and individual report interpretation by our
specialists will be and is therefore most important for clinical recommandations on the basis of an
individual gene profile.
After four to eight weeks – depending on the choice of test system – the results together with the
clinical interpretation by our specialists as well as the general and patient-specific scientific
interpretation will be sent to your physician.
Your physician will initiate the right steps – based on the analysis results and the attached
clinical interpretation – for an individualized health care programme involving dietary, sportive and
pharmaco-therapeutical measures.
What is required for the analysis accomplishment?
The execution of the analysis requires a sample material buccal mucosa which can be obtained
comfortably and painlessly. A cotton swab is rubbed against the inside of your mouth. Every sample-extraction-set
is accompanied by a specific detailed instruction sheet. To opimize the sample quality
it is necessary to consider the following:
- no eating, drinking or dental sanitation one hour before the extraction procedure
- rinse mouth thoroughly with clear water
